Covid-19
Questions and answers for our guests on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Dear Passengers,
We are writing today to provide information regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and what we at Northwestern Air Lease are doing in response.
As a valued NWAL passenger, your safety has been, and will always be an important priority. We have a comprehensive emergency response manual that all employees are familiar with. Years ago, when SARS was prevalent in Canada, we obtained and adopted procedures offered by the World Health Organization. Some of those same procedures apply to the reduction of risk of contracting the Coronavirus.
So, what are we doing?
We already have in place a rigorous cleaning program where dedicated staff clean our aircraft. All surfaces, railings on entry steps, arm rests, table tops, bathrooms and door latches receive special attention.
Based on current advice we are going to add another step to further disinfect our aircraft based on current advice from Public Health Canada and Transport Canada. Coronaviruses are easily eliminated by routine surface cleaning and sanitization. We use cleaning products, including hospital-grade disinfectants that are proven effective against human coronavirus.
To help you to continue to book with confidence with NWAL, we are temporarily removing the normal change and cancellation policies. This change will remain in place until April 15, 2020.
We hope our actions give you confidence to continue flying with Northwestern Air Lease. We continue to be committed to offering you a safe travel environment and look forward to welcoming you on future flights.
Sincerely,
James Heidema
Chief Operating Officer
Northwestern Air Lease Ltd.
